“The ‘Vanguard Collection’ is heavily influenced by my fascination with the art deco and neo-cubist periods of the early- 20th century, in which artists sought to balance and combine geometrical shapes and mixed materials to create new aesthetic forms. This spirit of artistic experimentation is evident when comparing the unique volumes and shapes of our eyewear frames with that of the three-dimensional bronze castings of Rudolph Belling, or the pedestal compositions of Brancusi. With these trailblazers in mind, we’ve developed our own nuanced designs that incorporate offbeat applications of horn, wood, and precious metals. Our dual goal is nothing less than unparalleled craftsmanship and the subsequent creation of a never-before- seen visual palate for women’s eyewear.” —JEROME J.M. MAGE
