Developed in dialogue with filmmaker Takuji Masuda’s award-winning documentary Bunker77 (2016), the collection transforms the iconoclast's actual eyewear and personal iconography into contemporary expressions of uncompromising individuality.

Capturing the volatile mix of rebellion, creativity, and excess that defined Bunker Spreckels—and a generation—the collection considers the enduring allure of a figure whose life seemed perpetually suspended between reality and mythology. We explore his legend with a new campaign by acclaimed photographer Steven Klein, whose charged visual storytelling refracts Bunker’s singular collision of glamour, danger, rebellion, and restless self-invention through a contemporary lens.
