An Icon of JMM reimagined by a living icon, handcrafted in a color story named after a poem by Arthur Rimbaud (1854-1891), who was a major influence on Patti Smith throughout her career. These limited-edition, ‘60s-inspired spectacles are composed of Polished Black plant-based acetate, complemented by Armorlite lenses in Light Bottle Green, featuring our signature arrowhead front-pins in Sterling Silver with Bloodstone inlays, as well as exposed custom wirecores finely engraved with lyrics from Smith’s song “Land,” and inner temples foil-stamped with the artist’s signature in Silver.

Proudly presenting a limited-edition collection of handcrafted eyewear designed in partnership with one of the most influential American artists of the modern era. Celebrating a lifetime of creativity, innovation, and influence, we're honored to join the acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet, painter, and author as she celebrates the 50th anniversary of her landmark album, Horses (1975). "For me, this collaboration has been like writing a song with another person," says Smith, "except that this time, it's about our visual and design sense coming together to create something unusual. I hope people will like it."

Each collectible arrives in an exquisite Collector’s Box Set featuring a black linen exterior with foil-stamped details and an inner case adorned with Robert Mapplethorpe’s iconic portrait of Smith from Horses. Inside, a vintage black leather envelope case lined in Bordeaux Empire microsuede is accompanied by an oversized cleaning cloth featuring original photography by Smith, an exclusive chapbook containing her handwritten lyrics and photographs. Eyewear will also be accompanied by a very special t-shirt designed to coincide with the 50th anniversary tour of Horses, while supplies last.

Clean your glasses daily using a non-alcohol based lens cleaning spray and the provided microfiber cleaning cloth. Avoid using water or soap to clean your frames, as this may cause oxidation of the wirecore and hinges. To extend the product's lifespan, keep eyewear out of extreme heat to avoid risk of distortion, and always protect your glasses by storing in the provided JMM eyewear case.
