BO JOE FOR JMM: T’IIS-NÁZBĄS
Named for the Dinè (Navajo) phrase meaning Trees in a Circle—the settlement nearest the Four Corners Monument and home of Bo Joe’s grandparents—these spectacles honor place and tradition. Temples bear sterling silver ornaments with Lone Mountain turquoise inlays, secured in bold rectangular bezels and finely engraved with four sections of three lines, symbols of the San Juan, Animas, and La Plata rivers, sacred sources of water, sustenance, and cultural identity. Along the wirecore, designs echo the rug-weaving patterns for which T’iis Názbas is renowned, paired with tufa-stone texture detailing. At the temple tips, Morning Star medallions represent the four cardinal directions, guiding presence and protection.
