Emerging from our longstanding creative partnership with artist Matt McCormick, which over the course of seven years has resulted in the creation of limited-edition eyewear, artist books, and sculptures, this newest collection re-imagines an archival style, the “Julien,” in two unique color stories, each featuring hairline-engraved artwork created by the artist.

Throughout his career, McCormick has devoted himself to an ongoing exploration of American iconography shaped by the spirit of the West, epitomized by Another Dream (Summon The Spirit), the artist’s large-scale installation commissioned in 2022 for permanent placement in JMM’s flagship gallery in Hollywood—a unique reflection upon the spirit of the “mustang” that juxtaposes two of America’s most recognizable symbols of freedom and speed.

The new collection returns to the Julien, an archival style reimagined in two unique color stories. Boasting a handsome Wellington shape and keyhole bridge, these handcrafted collectibles feature our signature precious metal arrowhead front-pins, spur-shaped rivets, and polished wirecores with finely engraved artwork that continues the artist’s ongoing exploration of American iconography and the mythos of the West.

Limited-edition spectacles are received in a monograph box that includes a leather envelope-style eyewear case in Black, an oversized cleaning cloth featuring an original artwork by the artist, and a letterpress authenticity card featuring original drawings from the artist, collection notes, and craftsman’s signature.
