An icon of uncommon sophistication originally released Summer 2018, these limited-edition spectacles inspired by the celebrated French couturiers working at the height of the Super Seventies have been equipped with responsive photochromic lenses designed to complement the rich hues of their accompanying acetate, featuring our signature arrowhead front-pins, custom 7-barrel hinges, and ‘Classic’ wirecores with refined hairline details.

The new Photochromic Collection introduces a dynamic new dimension to JMM eyewear: color that responds, transforms, and reveals itself differently with every change in light. Though traditionally associated with optical glasses, JMM has developed custom photochromic lenses specifically for sunglasses, creating a distinctive palette of responsive colors designed to complement the rich hues of their accompanying acetate. These specialized lenses darken outdoors when exposed to ultraviolet rays and return to a lighter tint indoors, creating tonal combinations that evolve with the environment. Indoors and outdoors, they block 100% of UVA and UVB rays while filtering blue-violet light, combining advanced protection with a distinctive approach to color, craft, and everyday versatility.

Limited-edition glasses are received in a silk-wrapped monograph box set in our signature Bordeaux Empire color, and includes a custom leather eyewear case handcrafted in Italy, an oversized microfiber cleaning cloth, and letterpress authenticity card with craftsmen’s signatures and hand-written serial number.

Clean your glasses daily using a non-alcohol based lens cleaning spray and the provided microfiber cleaning cloth. Avoid using water or soap to clean your frames, as this may cause oxidation of the wirecore and hinges. To extend the product's lifespan, keep eyewear out of extreme heat to avoid risk of distortion, and always protect your glasses by storing in the provided JMM eyewear case.
