HANDCRAFTED IN JAPAN

Originally released in Summer 2017 in partnership with filmmaker Michael Polish, the “Son Of A Gun” are classic navigators that channel a distinctly American convergence of function, discipline, and strength.

Handcrafted from 100% beta titanium, with a reinforced bridge and modernized bayonet temples, these are instruments as much as adornments, handcrafted in Japan with precision, shaped by necessity, and refined through use. The engraved motifs, inspired by the American Southwest, add a subtle sense of place, an echo of wide horizons and hard-won independence.

Developed from a design originally created for U.S. pilots in the mid-20th century, bayonet temples allowed eyewear to sit comfortably beneath a helmet, an innovation born not of style, but of need. It is this lineage that defines the “Son Of A Gun,” in which every detail serves a function, and nothing is superfluous.

A sleek homage to the Greatest Generation, these limited-edition collectibles balance rugged utility with measured elegance, designed to hold up under pressure.

IN THE SPIRIT OF REINVENTION

The ‘70s saw the rise of a new generation of directors and actors intent on reshaping the medium from within, to bring a raw, unvarnished sensibility to the screen. Their work reflected a broader cultural appetite for risk and realism, where narratives became more personal, more nuanced, and more attuned to the tensions of the time. Film, like fashion and music, became a site of experimentation, another arena in which identity was explored, challenged, and ultimately redefined.

THE SUPER SEVENTIES

If Origins marked a return to first principles, our second curated collection of archival gems turns toward a moment of pure release, an era when form gave way to feeling and spectacle became a way of life.

With this second offering from Réserve, we step into the charged atmosphere of the late-1970s, from NYC—where the boundaries between nightlife, art, music, and cinema dissolved into a fevered, electric exchange—to London’s Savile Row, where bold creations, over-the-top window displays, and champagne-fueled appointments brought a radical new approach to tailoring and contemporary style.

The Super Seventies draws from this fevered convergence, assembling a tightly edited offering of rare spectacles that embody the era’s sense of elegance, irreverence, and provocation. These are objects shaped by a cultural moment where disco met downtown, fashion became performance, and the night offered myriad ways of escape.

Here, we do not simply remember, but revel in archival styles that channel the personalities and provocations of a decade where the boundaries between nightlife, art, music, and cinema dissolved into a single, shimmering continuum…
