Originally released in Spring 2020, the Ari takes its name from Aristotle Onassis, the Greek shipping magnate whose ascent from refugee to global titan became one of the great myths of the postwar era. Equally at ease aboard a superyacht, in the salons of Paris, or beneath the relentless gaze of the paparazzi, Onassis cultivated an image of unapologetic opulence, his substantial spectacles as unmistakable as the cigar rarely absent from his hand.

The Ari channels that outsized persona through a bold silhouette with broad temples and generous proportions. Like the eyewear favored by Onassis himself, the shape possesses the unmistakable gravitas of a private life lived in public view. 

The Rover edition lends new dimension to the Ari's architecture, its shifting semi-translucence possessing the saturated glamour of a Slim Aarons photograph, where polished teak, perfect light, and impossible fortunes seemed to belong to the same afternoon.
