The Upsetter emerged from Jacques Marie Mage's Spring 2022 collaboration with Enfants Riches Déprimés, the Los Angeles and Paris-based label founded by artist Henri Alexander Levy. Conceived at the intersection of two distinct design philosophies, the partnership paired Jacques Marie Mage's devotion to meticulous craftsmanship with Enfants Riches Déprimés' fascination for punk's enduring spirit, evoking a world where razor-sharp tailoring carries the scent of last night's cigarettes. 

The Upsetter answers with a sleek wraparound silhouette whose low profile and sweeping architecture capture the late twentieth century's fascination with speed, subculture, and the future. Signature spur-shaped rivets, richly engraved wirecores, and carefully sculpted transitions reveal an object built with extraordinary precision, even as its attitude remains unmistakably defiant.

Rover’s translucent finish lends unexpected depth to the engraved wirecore beneath, giving the silhouette a peculiar tension between elegance and disturbance, and taking us on a trip back to the turn of the millennium, when performance eyewear shed its purely functional origins and became an unlikely fixture of underground fashion.
